Seagull
Richard Bach (Harper Collins)
A short and beautiful book that for me makes dreaming and
going for what you really know you want possible. A sociological and spiritual
treatise at the same time, it talks to me about how the systems we are part of
constrain individuals and organisations through a lack of flexible thinking and
consequent misunderstanding and prejudice.

The Invitation
Oriah Mountain Dreamer (Thorsons)
This book is based around a poem written by this amazing
woman after a particularly dull and pointless social occasion. I find the poem
touches my views of what is really important in people. Her stories around why she
wrote the words are wonderful illustrations of how we can learn from everyday
situations.

I love adventure and these books are packed with it! And
these adventures are at once moral, challenging and a fantastic mirror to our
societal, religious and scientific beliefs. They are billed as childrens
books…and I have heard both adults and children enthuse about them.
I recommend them for the child and adult in us all.
